Valentine "Tino" Freeman is a multidisciplinary Creative Director in advertising, music video, and film, and a poet. Her film work has received the Sundance NEXT Innovator Award, and her ad work has garnered three Cannes Lions, three ADC Cubes and four Clios. Her writing has been featured in The Believer, Weekday Journal by Publication Studio, Portland Review, and Livermore Street, and her chapbook “What’s Truly is Feral” was selected by Marvin Bell for his New Poets Series with Lost Horse Press.

Valentine was Costume Designer on We The Animals, a Sundance Lab feature based off Justin Torres' New York Times best-selling novel of the same title, and she is currently developing a feature script and a television pilot. She has served on several juries and panels including Cannes Lions, ADC, Altitude Summit, CAA Global Fellows, Free the Bid, and The 3% Movement, and as a professional mentor to young female, non-binary and queer creatives.

Valentine has also worked as an academic archivist, pizza thrower, nanny, office secretary, writing tutor, data entry clerk, maid, organ player, and bartender at a Texas sushi train. She lives, laughs and loves in California with her wife, puppy, and a blind cat named Muffin.
