Valentine "Tino" Freeman is a conceptualist and multidisciplinary creative in film and advertising Her film work has received the Sundance NEXT Innovator Award and ad work has garnered three Cannes Lions, three ADC Cubes and four Clios. She serves and has served on several industry juries and diversity panels including Cannes Lions, ADC, Altitude Summit, CAA Global Fellows and the 3% Movement, and as a professional mentor to young female, non-binary and queer creatives.


With a dynamic background in art direction, writing, creative strategy, branding, styling, interactive digital, animation and publishing, she communes with small and large villages of thinkers to create and execute big ideas with abandon.



Valentine has also worked as an academic archivist, pizza thrower, nanny, office secretary, writing tutor, data entry clerk, bartender, maid, organ player and bartender at a sushi restaurant in Texas.


Valentine recently worked as Costume Designer on We The Animals, a Sundance Lab feature based off Justin Torres' New York Times best-selling novel of the same title. She's currently developing a podcast about arguing, a sci-fi coming of age film, and a television show about a cat from space. She lives, laughs and loves in California with a blind cat named Muffin.
